Limassol is an ideal base from which to explore the whole island. The resort itself has interesting historical ruins particularly the famous archeological site of the ancient city of Amathus. Curium with its ancient theatre and Temple of Apollo is nearby.

Limassol offers varied nightlife with discos and bouzouki clubs. The beach is lined with traditional Cypriot restaurants, tavernas and the center of the town itself is excellent for shopping.
